TERREFIDE PRODUCES

THE PERANZANA VARIETY

We produce Extra Virgin olive oil from the Peranzana olive; a pure, non-hybrid variety with organoleptic properties and unique nutrients. From these medium sized olives with very low acidity, , we obtain an extra- virgin oil which is ready to consume as soon as it has been extracted, as it requires no aging process and does not need to be mixed with other oils; it is a real treasure of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

A SLOW WAY OF LIFE IN A FAST PACED SOCIETY , THE SENSITIVE AND CAREFUL RETREIVAL OF AGRICULTURE IS IMPORTANT AT BOTH AN ENVIRONMENTAL AND PERSONAL CONSUMER LEVEL. THE PASSIONATE TIES WITH THE LAND AND RICHNESS OF CULTURE, THESE TRACKS FROM THE ADRIATIC COAST TO THE HIGH PLAINS OF PUGLIA ARE UNITED BY MEANS OF OUR HEADQUARTERS IN FRANCAVILLA AL MARE (CHIETI) AND SAN SEVERO (FOGGIA). THIS IS TERREFIDE: OUR FAITHFUL LAND.

Our Olive Trees

Every day we step on an authentic land where thousand stories intertwined themselves. The land of the Great Secular Olive Trees that are rooted in the past and withstand time, weathering and modes. This spectacular plant could grow and resist alone here in Puglia.
Our trusty olive trees, located in the countryside surrounding San Severo (Foggia), are thriving plants which, thanks to meticulous care and attention, produce splendid fruit.

San Severo

Our estates are located in the countryside of San Severo (Fg); the heart of the high plains of Puglia and a crossroads of the most important transhumance track: il Tratturo del Re (The Cattle Track of the King).

The city boasts a great agricultural tradition, accorded since the early twentieth century.

The high quality olive production is a source of pride in this area; San Severo is the birthplace of the Peranzana variety, which we cultivate with absolute passion and dedication. San Severo has also retained a remarkable historic centre, dotted with significant monuments and, as a result of this, on February 2nd 2006, it obtained recognition as a city of art.
Yet another source of pride for San Severo is the impressive Municipal Theatre; the biggest theatre building of the ‘Capitanata’ area, and among the best in Puglia. It was opened in 1937 and today is dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi.
